Almost all of the sections of my antenna tower were damaged beyond use either by Katrina or in removing them from my house. I could salvage about half of the bottom section by removing the lower four feet. The HEAT wetsuit may seem overkill here, but it's so rubberman winter outdoor work gear! That's those old US Rubber waders featuring "Bar Flex Arch Support". The French kidney belt has become standard wear with the O'Neill, it appears, and the feel is certainly a good part of the attraction. |
Sometimes a rubberman just has to get close to the ground! In the current instance, restoring the base of my Rohn 25G tower to support a new FM antenna installation is the cause of my kneeling at earth's call. Katrina hadn't hurt the tower base, but removing the damaged sections did! |
It's the invicibility factor, that's what it is! Wearing heavy rubber gives a man the same freedom of getting close to his work that might come from Carharts or other fabric work suits, but with heightened sensual awareness. "Geeting down" feels better, doesn't cause backaches, and makes everything simpler. Oh, did I mention, it's indescribably pleasureable? |
Finally, we get to SawZall some more! Isn't that a wonderfully resonant word? I'm cutting the Zig-Zag metal braces first, so they won't be in the way when I make the horizontal cuts of each tower leg. |
More rung cutting, it would appear. Did I have to cut the same one twice? Patience, patience, my friend! |
A marvelously erotic but work necessary position: That SawZall makes a dynamic vibrator. At least we're on the second tower leg, and you can see why they're so tedious to cut. |
Each rung has to be cut away from each tower leg, so I get to find contorted but comfortable positions bunches of times! |
Finally, I'm halfway through these pesky rungs! You see, it's not that hard for a Rubberman! There's another page of HEATed SawZall images. Just click on the linked picture! |
