Squirmsuit at Live Oak Grove The Squirm Suit's maker describes it as an unadorned neoprene wetsuit. It may be unadorned, but it's far from unloved. My Squirmsuit and I have had some great adventures!

Today, though, we're basically just hanging out. The scene is the Live Oak Grove, the area around the stump of what used to be my largest Live Oak tree!

My old blue-trimmed waders have long since lost their belt straps, so sometimes they have to be held in place. It's a tasteful pose, despite that! Rubber Lord of the Stump!
Exposing a weakness!      After many wears, the rear seam of the wetsuit opened, actually damaging the neoprene in the area. Rather than attempt a hidden repair, I cemented a piece of old waffled neoprene on top of the area, sewing the edges in place.
An abrupt change in venue and apparel. It's the Vinyl catsuit, also called a Pleather suit. Pleather Suit and unlined rubber waders
Pleather Suit and Rubber Boots      The Pleather Suit is distinguished by an amply defined bulge! The waders were rebuilt using pond rubber for their uppers, so they are completely unlined! Of course, they were being tested in the rebuilt Skeletal Stream.
This is only the first rebuild of the skeletal stream. If you look, you will note that the upper sections are still way out of the ground. We found that it was a real hazard to turtles, who would sometimes roll on their back when climbing out! Pleather Suit by Skeletal Stream
Pleather Suit behind Skeletal Stream      The THIRD rebuild, not completed until the spring of 2008, has made the area turtle safe, we believe! The pleather suit looks so distinguished in a garden setting, don't you agree?
