Julio Facelift

Julio has had a bad few years. Several windstorms have tumbled him, bruising limbs and denting his metal torso. Katrina tried to do even more, dropping a small tree on the poor tin man.
At first I thought he was a goner. But once he'd been scrubbed with wire brush, and the dents and bruises knocked back out, he mostly just needed a good paint job!

Originally, I think he was sort of a tin plate color, but we wanted to give him a real face lift, so pewter and antique gold were chosen. The bag is to keep the pewter off of his already gold-finished helmet.

Just in case the camera operator was intending to get closer, Harold threatens a metallic coating!

Wow! Harold is feisty today. Julio is looking better than he's done in years!

I'm sure Julio will lower his visor once the paint has dried! We can't belive his life is that hollow.
