Leather Oaks Pond toward open gate      One more Pond photo from the South, this highlighting the open gate in my new privacy fence. Back in the chain link days, I'd just hop the fence when needing to clear things up along the property line. A gate seemed a more reasonable access alternative in this case. But, it really looks better when closed!
Let's hop across the Rubber Creek land bridge, and continue our tour. Careful now!
Here's something we don't get to see that often. It's an over Pipe's shoulder view of the pond, up to the deck. Pond viewed from North
Bell Tower from Pond      The Leather Oaks Memorial Bell Tower is surprisingly close to Leather Oaks Pond. You wouldn't suspect it though from this photo. The hollies and ferns are doing an expert job of shrouding the Memorial in Mystery. Or at least green leaves.
You may remember if you visited the Katrina recovery page how desolated the Rubber Creek looked during its dry spell. The one oasis stayed at Diver's Deep. The area has not only survived but thrived in the last year, especially as it has received almost no Harold intervention. This photo is taken from the path parallelling the Rubber Creek. The hollies were all blown slightly askew by Katrina's winds, so if anything the shade is deeper here than before. Diver's Deep
Neptune over Sago      We're backtracking our normal route here, but still seeing new vistas. My "pup-sized" Sago from twelve years back continues to grow, and is holding up well in the brighter surroundings it now encounters.
Hark! Isn't that Neptune up ahead? Let's walk on that way and say, "hello"!
Neptune's still adjusting to visitors coming from this direction. He's been so used to looking permanently to his left, that break in the trail that the little Live Oak left when it was dug out has sure changed his routine!
Hi there, King Neptune! They've really gotten your Knoll looking great again. Yeah, I know, the roads situation is bad. What with a pin oak yanking up the street lights and the contractor changing the drainage, well I hope we can get it fixed next year! Sure appreciate all you're doing, warning folks about the hazards. Later, my friend!
Neptune on Duty!
Fazzio Falls to Season's Springs      Returning to the Bridge over Lake Orin, Fazzio Falls is sure looking great once again. Roy's creative rebuild of Season's Springs after its gray clay problem has improved the look of the whole area. Is that a parasol frog resting on the rocks up there?
One thing is constant in this area. The pewter spitting frog is just as unpredictable as ever. Wolf seems to have caught him in a rare dry moment, though.
Lake Orin is once again looking clear and deep. That's a good thing!

Glad you could visit!      This completes the 2006 non-tour Tour! I hope you enjoyed it.
