Well, Mack and I didn't stay at home. One afternoon, we rode my Trike out to my favorite hiking trail, and parked near the Spike Buck Creek.
A trail-side photo near the Bigfoot Bridal Path's fording of the Spike Buck Creek. Don't you just love these suggestive names?! The horses' hooves churn the stream shoulders so we get this rather gooey stuff to stand in. Mack's hip boots seem to be handling the situation rather well, but let's give them a couple more chances! |

This stuff's not going away Mack, is it? Do you suppose a good grope would help us get through this stuff more easily? Go for 'em , my friend! |
|
Just down stream from the muddy ford, there's this neat, deep place on the Creek that never goes dry! What's that, over two feet deep? |

We Find that Mack is always ready to give us a good pose, even when he's up to his waders in wet stuff! His left foot is just about on the shore, giving you an idea of how small this deep area really is. |
|
Yes, my friend, I'm confident you can get out of that place any time you desire!! |

Back on a dry section of the trail, Mack's waders seem none the worse for wear. How do you keep them so clean and sharp, Mack? |
|
Mack took to riding my trike pretty well. After only 22 miles, he already seems a natural up on the passenger seat. |

It was a great session, all things considered! Maybe next time, we'll actually hike the trail!! |
